1. Camp Leader (Film Expert Role) *NOW CLOSED*

Responsible for supervising Make-A-Movie campers, grades 1+. Required to support the “Movie Making” curriculum through scriptwriting, filming, and editing short films with a quick turnaround. The film expert role is ALSO a camp leader and must fulfil other leader tasks in addition to the film portion. This includes devising games and activities that encourage our young campers to have greater self-confidence, demonstrate role-model behaviour, and promote social and emotional maturity. Above all, the applicant must be enthusiastic and FUN!


  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to adapt and respond to situations as they arise
  • Ability to work as a member of a small team
  • Up to Date First Aid certification a bonus
  • Knowledge of the filmmaking process

8 weeks, full time.
35 hours per week
Compensation: $14.00 per hour

2. Marketing Assistant *NOW CLOSED*

Positions funded by Government of Canada’s Summer Job Program.

Responsible for assisting the Social Media and Communications Manager with writing copy, scheduling posts and designing graphics to be used on social media and other online marketing materials. Will be responsible for assist with other marketing tasks as needed.


  • College or University student with marketing experience
  • already familiar with Film.Ca Cinemas and our brand
  • must be familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Basic skills in Social Media, Adobe, Social Pilot and WordPress 
  • must have some experience designing graphics
  • Computer literate and detailed oriented
  • Excellent creativity, writing, editing, and proofreading abilities are essential
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks
  • Ability to communicate and work within a team

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be between 15 & 30 years of age at the start of the employment,
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; 
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulation. 

9 weeks, full time.
