Willson Oakville Film Festival – June 23-25


The Oakville Festivals of Film and Art (OFFA), is pleased to announce the 4th annual Willson Oakville Film Festival, running from Friday June 23rd to Sunday, June 25th.

The Festival returns this summer with more films, more exclusive events and more opportunities to meet directors, actors and filmmakers from across Canada and North America!

Once again, the festival is brought to you by Title Sponsor, Willson International. In addition, OFFA is excited to welcome Budds’ Premium Automotive Group as Presenting Sponsor for 2017.

This amazing schedule includes 19 feature length and limited release films, and over 25 documentaries and shorts – and includes special screenings of Sheridan College student films.

  • Milton’s Secret (PG), 12:00PM, starring Donald Sutherland, Michelle Rodriguez, William Ainscough, Mia Kershner, David Sutcliffe. Screening followed by a panel discussion on bullying
  • Lovesick (14A), 12:30PM, starring Jay Baruchel, Jessica Pare, Adam Brooks, Sarah Constible. A Q&A with Director Tyson Caron & Jay Baruchel will follow the film!
  • Victor Walk (STC), 3:00PM, starring Theo Fleury. A panel discussion will take place after the film moderated by bestselling author, sponsored elite endurance athlete, and international advocate for survivors of sexual violence Jean-Paul Bédard.
  • Get Happy (STC), 3:30PM, starring Chris Riggi, Adam LaVorgna
  • To The Mountain (STC), 6:00PM, starring Daniel Braun, Peter Morton, Joan Miles, Alysa vanHaastert, Tanya Stone. Director Eric Pauls will be present for a Q&A following the screening
  • 13 Minutes (14A), 6:30PM, starring Burghart Klaußner, Katharina Schüttler, Christian Friedel
  • The Death and Life of Carl Naardlinger (STC), 9:00PM, starring Matt Baram, Grace Lynn Kung, Mark Forward. Director Katherine Schlemmer, Producer Carl Lauren and full cast and crew to be present for Q&A following the screening.
  • Broke (STC), 9:30PM, starring Steve Le Marquand, Claire van der Boom, Max Cullen.


SUNDAY JUNE 25, 2017

  • Personal Shopper (14A), 12:00PM, starring Kristen Stewart and Lars Eidinger.
  • Rooster Doodle Doo (STC), 12:30PM. Film is suitable for young children.
  • Broken Mile (14A), 3:00PM, starring Francesco Filice, Caleigh Le Grand, Patrick McFadden. Director Justin McConnell and other cast and crew will be present for a Q&A following the screening.
  • Heroes Manufactured (PG), 3:30PM, starring Alfonso Espinos, Shane Kirshenblatt, Mark Shainblum. Director Yaron Betany and comic book artist Alfonso Espinos will be present for a Q&A. There will also be a comic book art display and comic characters present.
  • Where The Universe Sings (G), 6:00PM, starring Colm Feore, Diane D’Aquila, Phyllis Ellis, Steve Martin. A Q&A with the directors will follow the film.
  • Gear (STC), 6:30PM, starring Gregory Hlady, Nicola Posenor, Tyler Blake Smith. Full cast and crew will be here for a Q&A after the screening.
  • The Time of Their Lives (STC), 9:00PM, starring Joan Collins, Pauline Collins, Franco Nero.
  • From the Land of the Moon (STC), 9:30PM, starring Marion Cotillard, Louis Garrel, Alex Brendemühl.
