Each session of Junior FilmMaker School focuses on hands on learning, while encouraging imagination and creativity as we work with our young filmmakers to create a quality finished product.
During the 10 week course, participants will create original scripts & storyboards, learn and use proper filmmaking terminology, and have hands on time with various pieces of video-making equipment – digital cameras, professional lighting, green screens, editing software, etc.
While each filmmaking experience is unique, we aim to have approximately 6 hours spent on the filming process, and 3 hours spent editing as a group.
We guarantee a maximum of 7 students per instructor for greater individualized learning.
This academic course is for the budding, enthusiastic Junior FilmMaker in your family. Students should come ready and willing to work as part of a team as they learn the basics of filming and editing.
At the completion of the Session, all students will have access to their final movie as an online download.
If desired, their final project can be burned onto a DVD, for an additional fee of $5.
Each session will also host a “Red Carpet” screening to allow our students the opportunity to invite friends and family to celebrate their project on the Big Screen. The date of this celebration will be announced the first day in the session.
Note: Professional Filmmakers take years to hone their craft; please have realistic project expectations of this 10week course.
