Autism Halton holds first Sensory Friendly Movie Morning

April 2015

We were so happy to host Autism Ontario Halton Chapter for our first instalment of Sensory Friendly Movies this past Saturday morning. This allowed families with a child on the autism spectrum to enjoy a movie with the lights a little brighter and the sound a little quieter. They watched “Home” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2”, and attendees ranged all the way from preschool-aged children to young adults, as well as their families, friends and support workers. We’ve already heard this was some of the children’s first time ever at the movies!

We are very excited to be hosting Sensory Friendly Movies with Autism Ontario Halton each month! Give them a shout if your family is affected by autism and you would like to be on the guest list – their website is located here.
