Save Jericho Advertising Financial Report

From Jeff Knoll (AlasJericho)
June 23, 2007

Dear Fellow Jericho Fans:

It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to participate in the Save Jericho Campaign and it was an honor to have been trusted to manage the paid advertising component of the campaign.

In this report you will find a financial statement as well as back up schedules, samples of the ads as well as some statistics. As a recap, the advertising contributions were collected by my company Film.Ca Inc. and accepted through our PayPal account. All advertising was contracted through my firm and was paid for using a MasterCard debit card directly linked to the PayPal account.

During the campaign, we had several commitments of cheques to be sent – only one was received and not cashed - therefore ALL contributions were through PayPal.

Fundraising activities ended on June 19, 2007 when I removed the PayPal link from the original donations page hosted on our server. At the time, we were short funds to complete the Guinness Book of World Records submission and I had agreed to cover the difference. Subsequent to that, several more contributions were received directly to our PayPal e-mail address and as such we have a surplus in excess of what is needed for the Guinness submission.

No expenses other that direct advertising costs and PayPal fees were charged to the fund. I have absorbed all associated administrative fees.

You will note that the Stars and Stripes campaign was cancelled and as such I contacted every single contributor by e-mail to seek specific permission to transfer the contributions to the General Advertising fund, which was used for the Hollywood Reporter thank you ad. All but one contributor agreed and that person asked for a refund ($2.00).

Surpluses from each project were rolled into the next project based on consensus calls on the CBS Message board. In one case, one contributor agreed with a roll over as long as it did not go to Guinness – and it was applied to the HR Thank You ad.

It is my intention to submit this report (and provide access to source records) to a third party for their review and verification of the results once all disbursements have been made and the account “zeroed” out.

You will note on the donation schedules that there are no names or initials used due to concerns regarding confidentiality – instead I have reported each donation with the unique PayPal transaction number. Contributors can use those numbers to verify that their payment(s) are reflected in the totals. As you are reviewing the donation schedules, they are in alphabetical order based on the first letter of the first name on the PayPal account and all multiple contributions from single donors are together.

If donors have any questions or requests for clarification, please send e-mail to jknoll@film.ca

Thank you,

Jeff Knoll
